Eco-Floral Designer Christine Saunders Joins Organic Bouquet

Orlando, FL—March 9, 2010 - Organic Bouquet, the nation’s leading supplier of earth-friendly flowers and gifts, has teamed up with eco-floral designer Christine Saunders.  Saunders joins Organic Bouquet as the Vice President of Business Development and is based in Anaheim, CA.

Saunders will direct the company’s events team to offer design and installation of eco-friendly floral decor for corporate and social event clients, who demand sustainably grown flowers as an expression of their green initiatives.  Saunders will also lead Organic Bouquet’s corporate partnership with Marriott International.  Additionally, Saunders will develop relationships with flower farms on the west coast, thus increasing Organic Bouquet’s supply and variety of locally and organically grown flowers.  Saunders will enhance the wholesale product offerings to retail florists and event designers through www.ecoflowers.com, and will create floral designs utilizing the finest eco-friendly flowers available to customers at www.organicbouquet.com. Saunders will continue to provide wedding and event floral design services in Southern California under the Organic Bouquet brand.

Prior to officially joining the company, Saunders and Organic Bouquet worked together as designer and floral supplier on several high profile green events, including the 2010 Tournament of Roses BCS National Championship Party, a Gift Lounge for the 2009 American Music Awards, and the Architectural Digest Green Room at the 59th Primetime Emmy® Awards.

As a leading expert in environmentally sustainable floral design and the founder of The Spiraled Stem Floral Design, Saunders’ work has been featured in several national publications such as Architectural Digest, Brides, Floral Management, Florists’ Review, People, The Bride and Bloom, the Los Angeles Times, and the book Green Weddings: Planning Your Eco-Friendly Celebration.  She has also won several awards, including the 2008 Anaheim Green Business of the Year, the 2008 ACPWC Choice Award for Floral Design, and has just been named as one of 2010’s “Top 20 Women to Watch” by OC Metro Business Magazine.

Now that Saunders is part of the Organic Bouquet team, clients have a one-stop solution for seamlessly sourcing and delivering eco-friendly decor for their events. “Saunders is the perfect choice to help strengthen Organic Bouquet’s vision to expand our reach into the event management and wholesale markets,” explained Robert McLaughlin, CEO of Organic Bouquet.  “I am delighted that we can join efforts to promote sustainable practices in the floral and event industries,” Saunders says. “Together we will have a positive impact on the environment, floral workers, and our client’s enjoyment of flowers at home and for their special events.”
